Amir Mustafaalhasan

Academic & Research

Amir Mustafaalhasan is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Structure and Social Change at Istanbul University. His thesis focused on The Role of Syrian Youth in Peacebuilding in Post-Conflict Syria. He is a Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Master’s Scholar and former fellow of the KAS MENA Leadership Academy, where he engaged in regional dialogue on socio-economic development, governance, and cooperation in the Southern Mediterranean.

Fellowships & Leadership Recognition

In 2025, Amir was selected as a Hurford Youth Fellow by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). He was also selected as a Community Leader under the Anna Lindh Foundation’s Transformative Youth in Action programme, leading youth-centered dialogue and advocacy initiatives.

Professional Experience

Professionally, he has held senior and coordination roles with national and international organizations, with strong expertise in project cycle management, donor relations, and team supervision. Amir has extensive experience with Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps projects, contributing as coordinator, assistant, and participant in numerous initiatives across Türkiye and Europe.

Meys Alrim Mamo is a 25-year-old molecular biologist and geneticist from Syria, currently residing in Şanlıurfa, Türkiye.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in the same field at Harran University.

Her academic background is complemented by diverse practical experience, having worked as a translator, export sales specialist, and molecular biologist.

Meys actively manages and participates in national and international initiatives, including Erasmus+ and social entrepreneurship projects. She also volunteers extensively in social development programs, with a strong focus on migrant and community-based projects.

After studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Harran University, Majd completed a Master’s degree in Social Structure and Social Change at Istanbul University.

Majd's work focuses on Syrian refugees in Türkiye—particularly youth—as well as social integration and the socio-economic realities of the Syrian community.

In addition to contributing to research projects and working with various NGOs, Majd has journalism experience reporting on the stories and challenges of the Syrian community.

Her work has focused on causes including countering violent extremism and building sustainable peace. Rama also has administrative experience within the telecommunications sector.

Mustafa Özmen

Mustafa Özmen completed a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology (2021) and a Master’s degree (2025) at Harran University.

Through his master’s thesis, he specialized in the societal impacts of the Metaverse and digitalization, while simultaneously conducting extensive field research across public-sector and civil society projects.

He led data collection and analysis processes within UNICEF and Ministry-led projects, and gained international experience as an assistant and writer on Erasmus+ projects.

With strong SPSS proficiency and hands-on project writing experience, he continues his work with a focus on migration, integration, and digital sociology.
